THE BELAKU TRUST
Dedicated to Community Health Research & Action

Are you a librarian, a teacher, an actor, an accountant, a writer, a mother, a statistician – or someone who has a concern for the less fortunate and the willingness to help them? We need you!

The Belaku Trust has always had volunteers from India and other countries. Our volunteers have been of different ages and backgrounds, some just out of school and others with years of work experience. We have had four volunteers from the Overseas Women's Club, all of whom are still in touch with us and with one of whom we are planning some joint projects. Belaku benefits enormously from having volunteers work with us, and our volunteers have let us know that their experiences have meant a lot to them –

“This example of women’s empowerment has stayed with me, providing inspiring evidence that in small pockets of the world, things are in fact getting better for those most in need”

Areas for which volunteers are needed

We have listed the many areas where we could use help; some will need special skills or the ability to speak Kannada; most need only your concern and willingness to help.
